Why do you want to be a tutor?
I deeply care for the success of our future generations and the society we live in. Since education is a key factor in one's ability to make good life decisions, and personalized tutoring is one of the best ways to help a student appreciate knowledge, I have dedicated my life to being a teacher and tutor. When I look back at the many students I've helped, I can only smile with accomplishment.

Why should a student pick you?
Students have very different learning styles and skill levels so depending on what works best for the student, I can be energetic and fun, cool and collected, patient and calm, or professional and precise. By helping the student feel comfortable, they are more likely to open up and ask questions on the little (and big) things they don't yet understand. I've been a full-time tutor for over 10 years. I pay very close attention to detail, hence have perfected my teaching approach to most all issues in the subjects I specialize in (math, chemistry, physics). Typically, I can advance a student's understanding at a rate of about one chapter per hour. I have privately tutored at least 500 students, all with different situations, yet none have expressed their dissatisfaction.

    Personal Statement:
Being a 'good' tutor is hard work. I'm constantly trying to improve my approach, knowledge, reference material, etc. so the student has every opportunity to advance and become involved into his or her developing knowledge. I utilize the students' previous foundation in both the sciences and mathematics to give confidence and build upon something they already understand. This successful technique produces a healthy learning environment and eventually a permanent collection of skills and understanding for the classroom and the 'real world.'

    Any Last Words?
'If you don't have time to do it right the first time, when will you have time to do it over?'

Feedback from Students:

From a Very Satisfied 12th Grade ASVAB Student
What an amazing tutor! In only two 2 hour sessions, I went from math hating me to math cooperating with me. We covered all the basics in the first session, and were able to complete all algebra and geometry in the second one. I take my test tomorrow, and am confident I will finally pass this time. Thanks again Jupiter:)
